Ottawa, Ontario – May 6, 2013.
Searidge Technologies, provider of intelligent video solutions to air navigation service providers (ANSPs) and airports, congratulate their CEO, Moodie Cheikh, on being named to Ottawa’s Forty Under 40.
The awards recognize forty accomplished industry leaders who are under the age of 40 and also give back to their community. The awards are co-hosted by the Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Chamber of Commerce
“The depth and innovation that the applicants represent demonstrates that Ottawa has a great future ahead of itself,” said Ian Faris, the chamber of commerce’s CEO and one of the judges who selected the recipients. “These are the new economic trailblazers in Ottawa who show that there is ample opportunity to foster talent and innovation for the next generation of young entrepreneurs.”
“It’s an honor to be a recipient of the forty under 40 awards,” says Moodie Cheikh, Chief Executive Officer, Searidge Technologies “I have been fortunate to work with an outstanding group of individuals during my career and I look forward to continuing my drive to support entrepreneurship, innovation and charitable activities in the Ottawa area.”
The judging panel included the University of Ottawa Telfer EMBA director Sophia Leong, Cellwand Communications CEO Nick Quain, OBJ editor Peter Kovessy and OBJ publisher Michael Curran, who chaired the process. The judges spent 100 hours reviewing more than 150 nominations that were submitted and assessed following a points system that was categorized by business achievement, expertise and community involvement. The recipients will be awarded at the Forty Under 40 Gala at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in June. The Gala will support the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health.
